Walking The Path with Brother Theophyle
Here is the text version of this cartoon.
For the graphics version,
Brother Theophyle is upset. “I don't understand it,” he complains, “Every summer, I buy a fly swatter, and every summer it disappears!”
Rabbit has an eye on the upper right corner of the cartoon, where we see the fly swatter being carried off by a group of summer flies, one of whom remarks, “Here we go again”.
A second fly responds, “I suppose dump it in the pile with all the others”.
A third fly observes, “I don't even like the name of this thing”.
