I think different paths and religions look different at first because all we see are the differences among everything. Differences used to frighten me because I would wonder if I am “wrong” and should be “like them”, but now I am more able to see past these differences without fear, maybe because I ...

I still haven't unlearned the belief that we are to be striving for something when maybe that is not at all what it is about For me, that is always in the background: shouldn’t I be doing something constructive and meaningful ? Then I remember all Teachers telling me: Do something constructive and ...

This is a favorite quotation of mine from Rumi which may have a proper place in this thread. I tried to find Him on the Christian cross, but He was not there; I went to the temple of the Hindus and to the old pagodas, but I could not find a trace of Him anywhere. I searched on the mountains and in t...

Nothing changes

I came across this quotation on the internet today. Infidel, n. In New York, one who does not believe in the Christian religion; in Constantinople, one who does. - Ambrose Bierce (1842-1914) How true it is. All that has changed since Ambrose Bierce wrote that is, today Constantinople is called Istan...

I too wish this project success. The world needs it. However, I went to the essay at the link you provided, and after reading the comments other visitors left there, I am not encouraged. As you may have read, most seem to assume that the project is wishful thinking. If so, it is a shame.

Have you read about Pope Benedict’s reinstating the Latin Mass? I grew up with that, and I did like it, but maybe only because I grew up with it. The Vernacular Mass (mass in a country’s own language) has been welcome, too, because it is helpful to understand what is being said and done, and who spe...

Welcome back, too

I agree with Rad. It is nice to have this forum on line again. I do not write much, but I do enjoy reading here.

I agree with the above comments, including the Alice Bailey paragraph. It was a long time before I was comfortable with the idea that all is one indivisible whole that includes both good and evil. Then, evil was a separate force, maybe separate from God. I probably could not have explained it very c...

I have been an on and off reader of The Zoo Fence for a long time. In my estimation, you have misunderstood what they mean by “remember who you are.” This is an expression that appears a lot on the website, where it seems synonymous with “know thyself.” I understand it to mean know the Truth and kee...

Thank you

It looks like I’m the first one to post. Thank you for inviting me. :D

I agree with the Mahatma, and with your suggestion that he would want us to expand the idea beyond just persons. For me, sometimes the hardest is to include what I see in the mirror.
