In The Garden

Three crows are sitting on a fence overlooking a bountiful vegetable garden. At one end of the garden stands a scarecrow with a striking resemblance to Brother Theophyle.

One of the crows says, "What a delicious garden! If only there weren't that terrifying scarecrow. He gives me the shivers."

A second crow concurs, "I know. Look at him. He's horrifying."

The third crow is gazing into the garden at a small purple finch that is scratching about among the vegetables. "How come," this crow asks, "that little guy isn't afraid?"

The finch responds, simply, "I'm not a crow."
