How long, Mother, how long?

I know I am impatient,
And my restlessness is a symptom of that irritating trait.
And I know, having entrusted my life and my path to You,
The outcome is certain,
And will evolve according to Your Good Way,
In Your Good time.

But still,
Shouldn't we be moving along a little ... faster?
Couldn't we?

This very prayer is my real problem, isn't it?
So badly do I want what I already have,
I can't see that I already have it.

Oh, my Dear, Sweet God,

how long!
