For those living in the planet’s northern hemisphere, the winter solstice is a time of celebration, for it Happy winter!signals the return of the light. From mid-summer on, the days shorten, the nights lengthen, and increasingly darkness reigns. Now, in the twelfth month, that process reverses. The sun strengthens, and the light returns. Virtually all spiritual traditions recognize the symbolism residing in this astronomical phenomenon, and celebrate it. Here, at The Zoo Fence, through December and into January, we join in that joy by sharing a few of the happy messages we have received over the past twelve months.

Let there be peace!Home again, home again!

Thank you for this heaven, where I can sit and read and ponder. This site has become my sunlight, sparkling and twinkling through the dark trees, showing me the way up the mountain. It’s well thought out, easy to navigate, perfectly balanced between graphics and text. The home page is simply the best on the net. Please never change the format.

This is a wonderful site. I just read the article about trusting God, and I love the prayer there asking God to teach me to love and trust him. Last night, I had a gentle realization that it is okay to relax, and to be curious about the evidence of my fulfillment. And I am more peaceful today.

Searching the web for a definition of the word namaste, I found your definitions pages. Reading through the other definitions there, I eventually came upon the word seeker. As I read that definition, tears came to my eyes, because that is exactly how I’ve seen myself. Thank you so much for this amazing resource.

I found the essay on Judas to be remarkable. I cried. I told my husband about it, and I cried. I told my mom, and I cried. That story had bothered me my whole life. You helped a part of my soul to heal.
